We are more than just a nation of the forgotten. We are products of a collective history, one that has led us to a moment of reflection. The fading vestiges of democracy are rare in an age where the principles we espoused as sacrosanct no longer hold true. When we realize the devastation first-world nations have imposed on humanity, one expression comes to mind when we consider the moral debt now owed to those who have suffered:
Our ghosts have come back to haunt us.
It is time we strip away the evils that have shackled our ambitions of a truly equal world. We must strike at the heart of institutions that severed the collective will and sought to keep stability out of reach for those in the Global South. We must begin to come to terms with our past and recognize the modes of oppression that presently keep us from working together.
This digital space will give credence to the phrase “the pen is mightier than the sword.” The Gh0st project will be a place where ideas flow and movements can be established.
Let us begin.
